Fossil Center & Gift Shop

CMWilson-Meg-small.jpg

We are now open 11am -5 pm every Wednesday through Sunday.

Our Info Center features items made to help you find teeth & other fossils, store them safely, ID them, and display them in style. Our printed materials (postcards, ID cards, stickers, maps, posters) highlight and celebrate the beauty of these fossils which have been found locally, by locals and are illustrated beautifully by fellow toother, Courtney of Sterling Seven Studio. She illustrated the megalodon tooth to the left which was found on the Island in 2023.

The Info Center features an exhibit of locally found fossils, with ID charts, books, and other resources. We offer classes and ID sessions while our talented artists offer classes in resin, painting, and other modalities.

We have also launched fossil hunting events, guided by Dr. Foss L. Hunter, an experienced tour guide with longtime fossil hunting and naturalist skills. You can book his tours on our website under Events.

Our gift shop sells an eclectic mix of fossil and science-based products, fossil info, fossils, and carefully curated items created by talented makers Amelia Island Julz, Hart Jewelry, Mallory's Eclectics, Knots N Stitches, Sea Shore Terrariums, River of Humanity, and more. Because we love this magical Island, we donate a portion of the proceeds to local charities such as the Sea Turtle Watch and Friends of Fort Clinch.

We’d love to hear your thoughts on products or services that interest you. And if you’re a local who makes products or has teeth or pectens you are willing to sell, please send us an email.

Gift Shop

Our gift shop is full of fossils and fossil related products. We are currently selling fossils online and more will be added soon.
